The Seed is in the Barn

“I am giving you a promise now while the seed is still in the barn. From this day onward I will bless you.” Haggai 2:19(NLT)

What does it mean to have seed in the barn? In farming terms this means that the seeds are waiting to be planted but they are still in storage. If you apply this picture to your life you will see how the Great Spirit has already given you what you need. You just need to receive it. I think that is one of the most unique promises that Great Spirit gives. He gives us the promise that the seed is still in the barn and from this day, not yesterday, not five years ago, not five years in the future, but this day, I will bless you. Notice, the seed is still in the barn. That means it never left. That miracle, idea, or hope you maybe have given up on never left. It is still there, ready to begin again. Go back to the place where you were most successful. Great Spirit is going to redeem the time.
The Great Spirit is saying, “I have given you what you need to get through the day. I have given you the power to make your dreams, your plans, your ideas; your miracles come to pass.” Can you get a vision for that? I struggle with this. This is hard because so often I have been told I can’t do something, I don’t have the ability. The truth is I may not have the ability, but Great Spirit does. He has the ability; the Great Lion has the ability. The Great Lion can speak life into you. He can tell you that if you were any braver you would be a lion king.
The seed is in the barn. You have the power, you already have the vision. It is time to begin making plans to see it come to pass. Lay the foundation. Remember that the most important part of this promise is that from this day forward you will be blessed. That means you may go through hard times, but those hard times will be easy compared to anything you have gone through. You will see so much fruit, so many miracles it will boggle your mind. Now get ready, because with this promise comes a shift; a shift into overflow, a shift into more than enough. You need to take that first step and receive the fact you have the seed already in you. When you do this, I believe and declare that things will have shifted in your favor and you will have the peace and blessings that were meant for you to be the miracle.


PRAYER FOR TODAY

Great Spirit, Thank you that what you planted in me has never left. Though I may give up on things, you don’t. Thank you for planting your power and your spirit inside of me. Thank you that this day you have already blessed me. By the name of the Great Lion, Let this be so.
