We’ll always have difficult people who try to upset us and steal our peace and joy. But, you don’t have to respond to every critic. You can decide to take the high road and let God fight your battles for you. Sometimes, no matter what you say or do, there are people who aren’t going to accept you. They just don’t want to be at peace with you. In fact, when Jesus sent out His disciples to certain homes, He told them to always speak peace over those homes. And then He said in effect, “If they don’t receive the peace that you’re offering, then it will come back to you.” That tells me, if you will do your best to be at peace with people, even if they won’t take your peace, the good news is that peace will just come back to you. Have you noticed though that when a fist is clenched, nothing is able to get into the hand? What happens when we release control of the clenched fist? It opens. An open hand is more relaxed. Think about when someone gives you something, your hand is open, you can receive, and at the same time you can give.  Our relationship with the Great Spirit is much the same way.  Great Spirit wants to give you good things, but too often we have not released control of the dreams to him. Many times in today's culture we feel that we must be aggressive and loud in order to be heard or seen as important. When you make your words line up with God’s Word, then what you declare will be established. So often, we complicate life more than we need to. Our minds get busy trying to “figure” everything out. People can spend more time analyzing their situation instead of applying God’s Word to their situation. But today, you can change your life by taking five minutes to declare His Word.
