The Power of Release

"Giche Manitou [Great Spirit] will accomplish that which concerns me; Your [unwavering] lovingkindness, O Great Spirit, endures forever— Do not abandon the works of Your own hands."

The clenched fist is the international sign of anger. Everyone understands when someone clenches a fist at them. Have you noticed though that when a fist is clenched, nothing is able to get into the hand? What happens when we release control of the clenched fist? It opens. An open hand is more relaxed. Think about when someone gives you something, your hand is open, you can receive, and at the same time you can give.
Our relationship with the Great Spirit is much the same way.  Great Spirit wants to give you good things, but too often we have not released control of the dreams to him. Don't get me wrong, we have to do some work, we can't just sit back on the couch and think our dreams will happen or that problem will solve itself. We need to take a step of action, the diligent prosper, but once we have done what we can do we should release control to the Great Spirit who can bring the rain, can line the right people up, and can give someone supernatural insight or wisdom to help you.
I have been learning the power of release. Releasing what I cannot do and taking care of what I can do.. Remember, YOU + GREAT SPIRIT = MAJORITY.  If you can put some form of release into practice today, I believe and declare you will live more at peace and see the Great Spirit show up and show out in your life.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
GREAT SPIRIT, WHOSE VOICE I HEAR IN THE WIND, Thank you for the opportunity to do your will, to be the miracle to all of creation, to bring hope and change the atmosphere where you plant me. Today I release control and give you my dreams, desires, struggles, and storms. Thank you for being on my side. Thank you for your favor, your wisdom and your love. Thank you for the beauty of creation.  By the Lion's Mane, Let this be so.
