Be the Miracle

"  A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you." (Psalm 91:7) Did you know that you have a covering over you? A covering protects from the elements.  Maybe you are struggling with the elements of lack, sickness, or it feels you are at the boiling point. The Great Lion has you covered. He is walking by your side and above you. It may feel like you are at the end of your rope, but know this, The Great Lion is on the move. He is setting up his camp for just the right time when all things will be made right. As you are fighting this battle, all kinds of things are crashing down, but none of it will harm you. In the blink of an eye, He will jump in on your White Witch and take her down. Everyone is fighting around you, dying around you, but you are safe. "Each person is given something to do that shows who Great Spirit is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:  wise counsel,clear understanding, simple trust, healing the sick, miraculous acts, proclamation, distinguishing between spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues." (I Corinthians 12) I love being a kid. I love watching kids anticipate getting their favorite toy and then one day, they get it. I love watching how they take care of it, create with it, and incorporate it into their life. As a child of the Great Spirit, you too are supposed to ask for gifts. You are not just given a gift, you are supposed to ask for gifts. What gifts does the Great Spirit want to give you? He wants to give you His power to do great things while you are here. I know some of you think, 'That's impossible. Only God can change the world. Only God has all the power....

He loves you so much that there isn’t anything He wouldn’t do in order to have a relationship with you. The Bible tells us that sin separates man from God, but God  doesn’t want to be separated from any of us. That’s why He sent Jesus into the world — to pay the penalty for sin so that we could live in eternity with Him. So many people today think they have to earn their way to heaven. They think they have to be “good enough” or “do the right thing” in order to be accepted by God. They want to “clean up” before they come to Him. But notice what today’s verse says — salvation is a gift from God. You can’t earn a gift. You don’t pay for it. You can only receive it by faith and say thank You. I declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper. I declare that you will use wisdom in all situations today and that you will experience favor like never before. I declare that this is the day you move beyond self-imposed limitations. I declare that you are free from any hindrance or bondage. I declare that you will no longer be held captive by others’ perceptions of who you are. I declare that you will begin to see yourself as God sees you. I declare that in all matters you will have God’s perspective and that it will minimize every problem and magnify His greatness. It was a standard 30-year mortgage, and he had 23 years left. In the natural, there was no way he could do i t. But he was bold enough to say, “Father, I want to thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh; the Lord my provider. I know my job is not my source. You are my source. It may look impossible, but I know You can do the impossible.” Several years ago, he received an inheritance from a family member that he had never met before. He didn’t even know they were related. The Secret Movement was about helping people manifest what they wanted in life by creating the world they desired. While there are many spiritual principles that we agree with, the truth is they missed something. The real secret to manifesting your gifts and desires is to speak to the Great Spirit. You must declare His promises, speak them out, and ask for the spiritual gifts to manifest in you to give you His power. The truth is the Real Secret to everything is prayer. The Great Spirit wants us to constantly be in communication with him. Listening and speaking with him about not only our provision, but the power he wants to give us to produce miracles in our world.   We have been given the power to bring real and lasting change ...

"And leaping forth he stood and  [ b ] began to walk, and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.  9  And all the people saw him walking about and praising God."  (Acts 3:8-9 AMP) There was a story that happened a long time ago about a man who was crippled. This man had been sitting at the gate to the city for many years, begging to survive. Then one day two men came and they asked him what he wanted. The man wanted money to eat. The two men looked at him and said,"Money I do not have. But by the name of The Great Lion, rise up and walk."  Instantly, this man was healed. He was able to get up and walk and now he could go and make a life instead of asking for life. The miracle that happened is not the most important part of the story though. Up until this time many people did not think much of Aslan and his followers. They needed something to prove that Aslan can make their world better. That Aslan has a greater plan for you....

"A man's mind plans his way, but Great Spirit directs his steps and makes them sure." -Proverbs 16:9 We all have things that we would like to accomplish. Sometimes even we make plans to do something and it does not work out they way we visioned it. They key to remember is The Great Lion, Aslan, will make a way where there is no way. You are being directed by the Creator of the universe. The only thing you need to know is that you will get to your destination right on time. You may think you need to get there in a year, but it might take you five. The point is Great Spirit is teaching us things along the way about our character, our awareness, and our sensitivity to his presence.  The one thing I have learned is that when my plans seem to hit a road block, I always see in my mind a Lion. "Your kindness will reward you,..." (Proverbs 11:17 NLT) You know what it feels like when you receive kind treatment. You favor that person, you give them special treatment. Often times when someone is kind to us, we are grateful. It is the same way when we return kindness. Kindness is one of the best ways to be a miracle. That person walking toward you with their head down might just need a little smile.  When you rescue a stray they are grateful for your compassion to help them find their home again and to feel love. You feel good too. The homeless person everyone else ignores. Not you, you go out of your way to give him some money to get some food. You know that blessing could be his ticket to his turn around. Our kindness is never an inconvenience. Being the miracle is often about being inconvenienced. Much of the troubles we face in life or help others face in life are not really troubles. They are opportunities for miracles. A way for us to show the power of the G...

"Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing." (Ezekial 47:12) NLT  Have you ever been near a river, especially in the desert? What do you notice? Most people would notice that there is more life around the edges of the river. There are more trees, grass, flowers, and two-legged and four-legged. Everything comes to the river, life seems to be bigger on both sides of the river.  Even more so,the river flows from one spot to another giving life to everything. "Trustworthy messengers refresh like snow in summer." (Proverbs 25:13) NLT Have you ever had a messenger bring you good news? It feels good when that messenger of hope brings news that will brighten your spirits. Sometimes it can come in the form of a phone call, "You got the promotion, the new job." Other times it might be good news that a friend or family member is coming to visit, you have a plane ticket to go on a vacation, or a good report on your health.Maybe the most unique messengers are when Great Lion sends his four-legged friends and winged two-legged to us to comfort us or show us something. It is not uncommon for someone to come out of a depression because their family cat or dog forced them to get up and take care of them. They stayed by their side during those long nights. I have even heard stories of people who had a cardinal come and show them everything will be all right during a very hard time. Friends, these are our messengers from the Gre...

You’re living with an attitude of faith and expectancy. In the natural, if you are waiting for someone like a special dinner guest, you probably aren’t just sitting around the house wondering what will happen. (Proverbs 3:28 AMP) How often have you had the opportunity to help someone and instead told them, "No. I can't. I wish I could." In reality you really could help that person. I have seen where I myself needed a ride home and people who were going my way would say, "I can't help you."  I have seen so many times in the parking lot where the homeless person is asking for some bus fare or money for food and we just turn away. I know what you are thinking,"They will just use it for alcohol or cigarettes." My response has always been, "So what?" If that is what will give them peace of mind to get through the day fine. In the same manner, my blessing is not what they do with the gift.
