Timely Messengers

"Trustworthy messengers refresh like snow in summer." (Proverbs 25:13) NLT
Have you ever had a messenger bring you good news? It feels good when that messenger of hope brings news that will brighten your spirits. Sometimes it can come in the form of a phone call, "You got the promotion, the new job." Other times it might be good news that a friend or family member is coming to visit, you have a plane ticket to go on a vacation, or a good report on your health.Maybe the most unique messengers are when Great Lion sends his four-legged friends and winged two-legged to us to comfort us or show us something. It is not uncommon for someone to come out of a depression because their family cat or dog forced them to get up and take care of them. They stayed by their side during those long nights. I have even heard stories of people who had a cardinal come and show them everything will be all right during a very hard time. Friends, these are our messengers from the Great Spirit. Our four-legged friends and winged two-legged speak with the Great Lion, they are his children and they are very close. They understand things we sometimes do not. 

Whatever the news, the one delivering it is a big part of the equation. We tend to think more of the messenger. The messenger has a special place in our hearts. They have been a source of healing and hope. Today you too can be a trustworthy messenger. Think about what trustworthy means. It means that you follow through on your assignment. Someone who is trusted to bring good news brings hope, faith, and love to their world. The Great Lion has good news. You can begin again. You can accomplish the plans that I have for you. You can have great power to bring miracles, restoration, and hope to a lost world. 

All of creation is sending you a message today. The animals, the rocks, the trees, the sky, your friends, and your neighbors. Even more so, you are a messenger of hope and miracles. I believe and declare that you will listen to the Great Lion and his messengers so that you can bring the miracles to your world and live the life you were called to live. 

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Great Spirit, Thank you for your messengers of hope. Thank you for sending them at the right time. Let my eyes always be on the lookout, my ears always be listening, and my heart always open. Thank you for calling me to be a messenger of hope and miracles too. In the name of the Great Lion, let this be so.

“The fears ….. will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted.” (Proverbs 10:14 NLT) Our life will always move to what we think about most, which is why it is so important to guard your mind. If you are not careful you can think about only negative things and you become a negative person. Have you ever been around that person who only has the news channel on in their house? They are always talking about how bad things are, how things just seem to be getting worse, the world is coming to an end. That person over time, if you take notice, will become a very cynical, negative person. Why?
