Kindness is a Gift

"Your kindness will reward you,..." (Proverbs 11:17 NLT)
You know what it feels like when you receive kind treatment. You favor that person, you give them special treatment. Often times when someone is kind to us, we are grateful. It is the same way when we return kindness. Kindness is one of the best ways to be a miracle. That person walking toward you with their head down might just need a little smile.  When you rescue a stray they are grateful for your compassion to help them find their home again and to feel love. You feel good too. The homeless person everyone else ignores. Not you, you go out of your way to give him some money to get some food. You know that blessing could be his ticket to his turn around.


Our kindness is never an inconvenience. Being the miracle is often about being inconvenienced. Much of the troubles we face in life or help others face in life are not really troubles. They are opportunities for miracles. A way for us to show the power of the Great Spirit living on the inside of us. It is an opportunity to show the love of the Great Lion and bring the fruits of his kingdom to someone who needs it. Today as you go about your day, keep being kind. Look for those opportunities to show kindness. Those are opportunities for miracles. They will turn around and reward you when you need it most. 


Prayer for Today
Great Spirit, Thank you for the gift of kindness. Thank you for your kindness to me that I can radiate to those who need it. In the name of the Great Lion, Let this be so.

“The fears ….. will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted.” (Proverbs 10:14 NLT) Our life will always move to what we think about most, which is why it is so important to guard your mind. If you are not careful you can think about only negative things and you become a negative person. Have you ever been around that person who only has the news channel on in their house? They are always talking about how bad things are, how things just seem to be getting worse, the world is coming to an end. That person over time, if you take notice, will become a very cynical, negative person. Why?
