The Happy Land of Narnia
"There's a place out there for us; More than just a prayer or anything we ever dreamed of. So if you feel like giving up; Cause you don't fit in down here; Fear is crashing in close your eyes and take my hand.We can be the kings and queens of anything if we believe. It's written in the stars that shine above. A world where you and I belong Where faith and love will keep us strong Exactly who we are is just enough. Yes there's a place for us there's a place for us. When the water meets the sky. Where your heart is free and hope comes back to life. Where these broken hands are whole again. We will find what we've been waiting for. We were made for so much more."
(Carrie Underwood, 2010)
THE HORSE HAD LIFTED HIS HEAD. Shasta stroked his smooth-as-satin nose and said, "I wish you could talk." And then for a second he thought he was dreaming, for quite distinctly in a low voice, the horse said, "But I can." "However did you learn to talk?"
"Hush, not so loud," replied the Horse,"where I come from, all the four-leggeds and two leggeds of the air can talk."
"Where ever is that?" said Shasta.
"Narnia," answered the Horse,"the happy land of Narnia- Narnia of the heathery mountains and thymy downs. Narnia of the many rivers and the phlashing glens, the mossy caverns and the deep forests ringing with the hammers of the Dwarfs. Oh the sweet air of Narnia! An hours life there is better than a thousand years elsewhere."
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
GREAT SPIRIT, Thank you for giving us a place where we are kings and queens. Thank you for giving us your country and allowing your country to reside on the inside of us. Thank you that we can bring your country to our world. By the Lion's Mane, Let this be so.
