It's Your Time to Shine

"Too often, we complain, 'I don’t like this job. These people are so negative. Nobody has a good attitude.'Why do you think God put you there? That’s an opportunity for you to shine." (Joel Osteen, 2014)

The Be the Miracle Movement. It is spontaneous. It does not just hit a particular group of people. It is moving through all of creation where the Holy Spirit needs to restore, revive, and make things new.I see it moving. There are places like Redding, California and Bethel Church that are seeing ordinary people use extraordinary power to heal, deliver, and bring a new presence to their city and culture.  There are people like Joel and Victoria Osteen and Rick Warren who do not take a salary, but teach people every day how to live on purpose. They send teams of people all over their cities and their world to do free neighborhood clean ups, trainings, and medical care. There is Pastor Tommy Barnett and his faithful Phoenix First Assembly which is labeled the Church with a Heart that takes time to train people from all over the world how to be leaders and servants. They start Dream Centers. There are the non-profit organizations, animal rescues, human traffiking, and the like that are full of people being the miracle. There is Church for the Nations that is teaching people how to take a mountain of culture and bring a new presence to transform it.  There is a prophetic artist who was given this gift only about a year ago, I think. Now she paints pictures with a purpose. The presence is the Great Spirit and his kingdom. His kingdom is upside down. It is a place of generosity, patience, goodness, healing, deliverance, joy, self-control, peace, kindness, unexpected miracles, self-discipline, abundance, hard work, fun, abundance, nature, connection, fun, fun, and more fun. That is what the be the miracle movement is. You are seeing a transformation of neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and the world you live in. People are kinder, more at peace, they think about generosity and abundance. They think about who they can bless next. They are good stewards.  This movement is really fun to watch.

It all shifted for me when I saw the movie Bruce Almighty. This film opened my eyes to what it really meant to believe in the Creator. We have the power, the same power that raised Aslan, The Great Lion, or some of you know him as Jesus, from the dead lives in us. With that power we do not always need to be looking up, we need to be looking out. Looking out for needs that need to be met, even if it is something as simple as fixing a neigbors toilet. Friends, I have discovered these small things are how you change the world. It is not by voting for elected officials, but by healing the sick, raising, the dead, and casting out evil. I am seeing a move that is happening where miracles, signs, and wonders are taking place by ordinary people. They are laying their hands and healing people, they are prophesying and encouraging those who are spiritually dead and they are on a new path.
Esther decided to do something, she didn't ask the Creator for help, she knew she had the power within her to help. She just needed a little encouragement. She got it from a friend named Mordacai. He told her,"Who knows? Maybe you were brought to the kingdom for just such a time as this."
