You Say, Great Spirit Does

"This I declare about the LordHe alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection."

There is an old story about a young man who was a king in the middle eastern countries.  He was very close to the Great Spirit. He was so close to the Great Spirit that he was called, "a being after the Great Spirit's own heart."  This young man was not perfect though. He faced his share of problems, some of them he brought on himself.  One thing he did do was always come back to the Creator when he messed up. In one of his stories he was going through a very tough time. During this tough time he didn't sit back and say,"Too bad for me. Look at all these problems, I will never get out of this. This is the end of me."  No, he did the opposite. He put his faith in the Creator into action. He used his words to change his thinking. He got into agreement with the Creator.  He made a bold declaration,"The Great Spirit is my refuge, my safe place. He will rescue me from every trap. He will keep me healthy. He has me covered. His promises are true."  What was this young man doing? Getting into agreement. He was changing his thinking from letting all those negative thoughts overtaking him to making the Great Spirit truly Greater than his problems.  Notice what happens when we declare who the Great Spirit is, the Great Spirit will come through on his promises to be our rescuer, our comforter, our shelter.  When you change your thoughts and declare who the Great Spirit is, he will do for you and be for you what he has promised.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
GREAT SPIRIT, Whose voice I hear in the winds, thank you for being bigger than anything I may face. Thank you for sending me your promises of comfort, strength, wisdom, and protection. Today I get into agreement with your promises of what you say about me. By the Lion's Mane, Let this be so.
