Just Ask
"Aslan- and children from another world," thought Tirian.
"They have always come in when things were at there worst. Oh, if they could only come now."And he called out, "Aslan! Aslan! Aslan! Come help us now."
And still there was no change in the night or the wood, but there began to be a kind of change in Tirian. Without knowing why, he began to feel a faint hope. And he felt somehow stronger.
"Oh Aslan, Aslan," he whispered.
"If you will not come yourself, please send your helpers from beyond the world. Or let me call them. Let my voice carry beyond the world." (The Last Battle)
Sometimes when we feel the most hopeless, those are perfect times for miracles to occur. One way to get your hopes up is to ask for what you desire. If you desire joy, ask for joy. If you desire healing, ask for healing. The start of hope is in the asking and when we ask we are speaking it out. We are starting our decree. Once we ask we need to believe it is already been done. That debt is being paid. That addiction is gone. That relationship restored. Those are all miracles. We believe in the power of the miracle by thanking the Creator in advance. We thank Aslan for the power he gave us. We thank him for sending the help. Listen to the words of the Great Spirit, "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways." What does that mean? It means that we can take our hope and turn it into faith. Faith is just hope in action. Our hope becomes faith when we decree what we desire and align it to Great Spirit's promises. When we speak it out it comes alive. We feel stronger. Like Tirian in the Last Battle, when things look bleak, call on the name of Aslan and make your decree. When you do hope will rise and light will shine on all of your ways.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind, thank you for your son Aslan, the Great Lion. Thank you for sending him to help us on our journey. We thank you for the gift of Aslan awakening on the inside of us and giving us hope. We declare your goodness and power in our life, thank you for the great opportunities you have for us today. Thank you for shifting us from despair to hope, from lack to abundance, and from average to extraordinary. Thank you for exceeding our expectations in all that we ask or think. By the Lion's Mane, Let this be so.
