He Delights in Your Prosperity

In the same way that a parent loves to see their child doing well and excelling, God wants you to do well and excel in every area. He takes pleasure in prospering you. He doesn’t want you to just barely have enough to meet your own needs. God wants you to be so blessed that when other people get around you, it overflows onto them. He wants you to be so blessed in your finances that you can pay your own bills, accomplish your own dreams and also be a blessing to other people.
The key is that you have to make room for it in your thinking. You have to expect that He wants to bless you. Take a step of faith today by thanking Him for His abundance in every area of your life. Declare that because you follow His ways, His blessings are going to chase you down! Don’t just settle for a “good enough” mentality, develop an overflow mentality because God delights in the prosperity of His people!

Like David, God has put skills inside of you so that you can slay the giants in your life. You have the skills that can open new doors, skills that can lead to an abundant life, but the key is that the skills have to be developed. “The fears ….. will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted.” (Proverbs 10:14 NLT) Our life will always move to what we think about most, which is why it is so important to guard your mind. If you are not careful you can think about only negative things and you become a negative person. Have you ever been around that person who only has the news channel on in their house? They are always talking about how bad things are, how things just seem to be getting worse, the world is coming to an end. That person over time, if you take notice, will become a very cynical, negative person. Why?
